Invisible Intimacy

Invisible intimacies, 2022

textile, speakers, electronics

The installation focuses on an ephemeral, often unnoticed role of a bodily gesture. The inconspicuous, corporeal, generational transmissions, which only sometimes, are being saved as a memory, and manifest themselves but more often remain undiscovered, or forgotten. In this case artist’s personal experience is brought in the gesture of sewing  and it is now materialised in a hand-sewn sculpture. This gesture of making, a cross over many generations, is reenacted and preserved in a tangible form.

The faint sonic atmosphere gently echoes a fragile distance between forgetting and remembering.
